A Plague of Doctors

"After the sun set, The Doctors crept from their tunnels beneath the trenches. I watched silently as the vile creatures pawed at the dead, stuffing pieces of the charred or infected flesh into the oily leather bag that the smaller one wore over his shoulder. My stomach lurched as I thought of the experiments the beasts would be performing on the pieces of my fallen comrades ."
